| Here's one of the earliest
examples of Fritz Heckert's work. It's a "Jodphur" vase with
gold and blue enamelling. These were only produced between 1886 - 1888.
The glass has been acid etched to give it a frosted look. The gilt
floral design is raised giving the impression it's been carved within
the glass. This same type of vase can be seen on page 12 of Cappa's "Le
Genie Verrier de L'Europe". It's in excellent condition with no
chips or cracks. Just some water stains on the inside bottom which
can't be seen from the outside because of the frosted finish.
